Morr Accuracy was originally started part time as Ringwerx in 2005 by John Morrison. The original mission was to cater to the needs of .22 and centerfire benchrest shooters who needed attractive precision made scope rings. Drawing on over 20 years of design and machining experience in the aerospace and defense industries, as well as his time in the Marine Corps as a seven time rifle expert and Desert Shield/Storm veteran, John felt he could blend the right mix of precision, aesthetics, and pricing to offer the market an alternative to what was then commonly available.
The original Legacy rings were very well received and the company was on its way. Throughout the next several years, variations of the Legacy ring were introduced for both 3/8 and 11mm factory rails.
In 2010 the company was moved to its present location, new CNC equipment was acquired, the name was changed to Morr Accuracy, and the manufacturing of scope rings and mounts became a full time endeavor. Shortly thereafter, the Edge rings were designed, followed by the Airweight rings and then the Silhouette rings. In 2012 our first series of Tactical rings were produced, and that line has been expanded to include our 34mm series, CM ™ canted mount series, and tactical scope levels.
2015 will be another big year for Morr Accuracy as we are again investing in more CNC equipment and will be featuring a complete re-design of our shooting bench, which is currently one of the best in the world. Some additional projects that we will have finished this year will be bottom metals, one piece tactical scope mount systems and complete rifle chassis systems. As always, our goal and our mission is to give our customers the best products, best quality, great prices and to never forget that giving the discriminating shooter great service is how we got here…because Morr really is more!
